Digital Product File Contents
All products being submitted to the trueSpace
shop must contain the following:
Make sure the ReadMe file is .txt Plain ASCII text. Please do not use
.DOC or .HTM files. We have provided a sample ReadMe file template
below (1-9). Please make sure your ReadMe.txt file contains all the
information listed in the template or it will fail testing.
1) Product Title, Copyright (if 100% own)& Date
2) Ownership statements (See ** below for examples)
3) Author name & E-mail address
4) Files list (what is included in ZIP)
5) Needed Files List (Files/Programs needed that are not in the zip)
6) Detailed Installation Instructions
7) Exact folder names & locations
8) Usage Tips/Limitations
The ReadMe requires a statement of ownership and a list of items/areas
that are not your own, but which they have a license or permission to
use. A copy of the license or written permission to sell by the
copyright holder needs to be sent by email to dennis@truesourceshop.com.
which will be filed in the vendor's file.
** Include this exact wording if you created all of your products
contents (Ownership Statement):
"All of this product's content was created by [Vendor(s)/Merchant(s)
and/or Real Name(s)]."
During testing, items found to have copyright violations will be
removed and the Vendor notified and warned of their first copyright
offense. This Vendor may then go through a probation period, and other
items currently in the trueSpace shop may be removed
and
reviewed for possible copyright infringements. Any additional copyright
concerns will be considered second offense.
Description.txt File
Make sure the Desription file is .txt Plain ASCII
text. Please
do not use .DOC or .HTM files. We have provided a
sample Description file template below (1-6). Please make sure
your Description.txt file contains all the information listed in the
template or it will fail testing.

3) Product Description
4) trueSpace version created in
5) Patch Count
6) Any Extra Specs
7) Vendor Paypal Address (for payment purposes only, will not be
shared.)
Product Files
Include all files needed to make your product functional. When
packaging your files, always create a new .zip archive, repacking older
archives sometimes leaves empty directories.
Promotional Images/Wording
Images must be in jpeg format and no larger than 640 x
480 pixels.
Please name your product image the same name as the
model
followed by the word promo with no spaces and no capital letters. Name
each of the 2 additional images allowed the same name but with
consecutive numbers starting with a zero after the name beginning with
02.
One of the allowed three images must include a front, back and
side view unless not appropriate.
Example images of your product should not be altered with post
production render touchups intended to alter the appearance of the
model. To assist customers with their purchasing decisions, these
pictures are intended to be an accurate representation of the product
without adjustments.
Animation is not allowed in any store images.
Pricing
Pricing decisions are left to the artist. You are encouraged to
research the average pricing for such items. The trueSource
shop Staff may offer pricing suggestions based on previous
store
experience.
Product Naming
If a product enters the trueSource shop with the
exact name
of an existing product and a Vendor lodges a complaint to the Store
staff the Vendor with the newest product will be asked to rename their
product. If the vendor refuses to rename the product it will not be
released into the trueSource shop.
The trueSource shop will not search for naming conflict. This
should be done by the Vendor prior to submitting a product to the
trueSource shop.
Vendors should always try to work this out prior to engaging the Store
staff. If a resolution cant be reached in a professional manner between
the vendors the store staff will assist in this process.
Renaming of a product can be as simple as attaching your vendor name to
the product.
Example : fred, fred by DennisB and
DennisB's fred are all unique names.
If your product name is Trademarked please send the Trademark
registration information to dennis@truesourceshop.com
Sexually Explicit Material
Products Thumbnail, Promo 1 image and any externally linked images
within your products promotional wording may not contain any nudity and
must follow the Nudity Guidelines outlined below.
Nudity Guidelines
No suggestive or sexual positioning.
No placement of the hands in genital areas including female breasts.
No child nudity.
No Sexually Suggestive Language or "Censored" language/images.
Child Nudity
Due to legal liability surrounding Children and Child pornography, we
will not allow any nude pictures of children in the trueSource shop.
This includes products advertised as teens, pre adolescent, child like
fairies, etc...
Additionally, any image can be removed at the discretion of staff if it
is deemed unsuitable for this store.
Content Policy
The trueSource shop does not accept
the following:
1) Poses or activity where any person (regardless of age) appears that
they "could" be engaged in sexual activity.
3) Products that display child or teen nudity.
The trueSource shop also reserves the right to decline content
at our discretion.
If your files have problems or do not follow the submission guidelines,
we will delete your submission and email the testing results to you.
All products: Will be tested as fast as we can get to them. Usually
under 12 days.
If your Product is not packaged following the above guidelines it will
fail testing. You will receive an E-Mail referring you to this
guidelines page as well as an explanation as to why the Product has
been rejected.
